Well, in a way it can be seen as a jolly protest, fun and games, and I suppose that in the countryside, they can't do that much harm, but should this become a mass movement and/or move to cities, it will become another proposition. Fine particle pollution really is one of the biggest silent killers around.

A Dutch study showed that living next to a busy highway reduces your life expectancy by a whopping 7 years or so, most of that down to these sub 2.5 micron particles that get stuck in your lungs or even enter your bloodstream. That stuff really isn't a joke. Ask the Chinese.
