4 New BOD Members and New Chairman - WHEN???

Let's recall what Dr Byker said at the AGM in his opening remarks:

"Now is the right time to refresh the Board. I expect that up to 4 new appointments will be made to the Board within the next 12 months. There is no doubt the Company has changed significantly since I joined it 20 years ago. In my time, I have been proud to have served as a director, interim chief executive and chairman.

I intend to retire as Chairman at the next Annual Meeting once we have recruited a replacement and there has been an appropriate period of transition. I believe I shall hand over the reins of a company that will justly reward its shareholders, work force and the people of Papua New Guinea."

When would IOC start this process? How long should this Chairman of the Board (COB) transition last? Who would Richard Chandler want as COB??

I believe that Dr. Byker was telegraphing that the changes would commence sooner rather than later. Perhaps a new "COB Designate" before the next CC?

I'd like to see a non-Aussie; non-ex-Woodside; non-American step in as COB.

Who???

How about an ex-BP top executive ... after all, BP was in PNG back in the 90's before they sold their E&P interests to OSH in April 1998.

My wish as new COB is Sir John Browne, the former CEO of BP (1995 - 2007) who was in that position when they sold out to OSH.

This would be a blockbuster that would rocket the PPS if it were to happen.

Thoughts please.

 Stavros,

How do you believe this would accomplish that?
