Maybe the market is wrong on this?I think the market is "wrong" on where it's pricing IOC now, but I feel sure the price is not where it is because of judgments by the market about what IOC has or doesn't have in these wells or about the quality of any reservoirs that haven't even been confirmed with hydrocarbons yet, nor for the most part because of supposed "failures" or incompetence some have been repeatedly complaining about, although I can't help thinking that latter constant negativity hurts the stock to some extent.
I do agree the comment about calcimetry, etc. at Raptor being similar to Antelope is potentially hugely positive, and probably reflects a high level of confidence at IOC about what they have, although they rightly point out the confirmation needed from drilling.
The market has been wrong for 4+ years? That's like calling Solynda's failure a plot aganst solar energy. Two out of three exloration holes are now "on hold", after a 250% schedule slip followed by an admission that the GLJ certification isn't "good enought". I'm glad the market is right at this point. If it had a half full view then I would have to be conserned about another bubble in the stock market.
