In the 'Third Train Pending' section of the above article, the author states that Elk/Antelope may contain up to 25 billion cubic meters of gas. If we presume that Elk/Antelope has 9 Tcf, then that volume converts to about 255 billion cubic meters vs. 25 billion cubic meters. The calculations are as follows: 1 cubic meter = 35.315 cubic feet (cf) 9 Tcf = 9,000,000,000,000 cf 9 trillion/35.315 = 254,849,214,215 cubic meters, or approximately 255 billion cubic meters. This kind of mistake by the Australian author would be comparable to an American journalist saying that the estimated volume for Elk/Antelope is .9 Tcf vs. 9 Tcf, or an understatement by a factor of 10. Honest mistake? Maybe. Maybe not.
