It is hard for me to understand just why these very sophisticated companies are pursuing hydrogen. I suppose with enough nuclear Japan could be energy self sufficient if they can make hydrogen fuel cells ubiquitous, but cheap hydrogen just doesn't appear anywhere on my horizon.
