I am not sure where you live Cyber, but I would have do disagree with you completely that the US is "doing quite well." Labor aprticipation is way down, we have a generation of young college graduates who cannot find gainful employment and are saddled with historic student loan debt. Wages have been stagnant for 20 years, the middle class is getting squeezed by Washington's Policies, manufacturing has left for cheaper labor and taxes to China, and is flooding to mexico as well. The poor are getting poorer as welfare and food stamps are at an all time high. Social Security is destined to go bust, we owe almost 19 trillion in national debt and our president and Congress completely ignore it, race relations are at their worst in the last several decades, we have a huge illegal immigration problem that our politicians refuse to acknowledge and deal with because the dems want voters and the Reps want cheap labor, we have a Democratic Presidential candidate who is mired in a national security scandal and has likely broken laws that would land the average US citizen in federal prison, and a Socialist is her nearest competitor in the Primaries in the greatest Capitalist nation in the history of mankind.
So I ask respectfully, what about the U.S. is "doing quite well?"

Jdeo - With the Dow down over 2000 pts now from it's high, any thoughts on when the (all time high) margin calls will really start to be a problem / Just wondering while the waiting period gets lenghthened . Best to you .[. IOC pps getting very interesting ...again ] .
The biggest problem with margin calls was probably last week in the days following the intra-day and closing lows Monday and Tuesday (Aug. 24-25). We could perhaps see another problem period if the market goes all the way back to those lows or below, especially if it continues lower on an unsuccessful retest.
