Me thinks Blair has been digging and was stonewalled, as you'd expect, by Chevron. I've found him/her and pngindustrynews to go a bit beyond the headlines and to make headlines. Far different from the IrrNational.
Could be Chevy missed the short list, or the stakes winner is chosen and CVX isn't it. eEnnerOle has been consistent that 'some bidders' wanted election clarity prior to announcement (sounds JP/SK to me) and Trawen says last week by months end Gov't will be forming. Pavel sees this and got ahead of a pending announcement, wink or no wink from 'IOC savvy sources'.
We can expect a winner anytime and likely buy-out offers from other contenders. CVX included. There is no reason for IOC to remain as an operating entity.
