Capital intensive is anything you build for energy. You basically cannot build new coal plants or nuclear in this country, so you have few choices in replacing coal plants which are scheduled to go out of service. Wind and solar have come a very long way very quickly. What just a few years ago was thought to be undoable is being done. "People don't want it" and "People won't pay for it" has been proven wrong as it is happening. Over time profit motive and innovation prevail where something is feasible.

The energy world is changing rapidly.
