ExxonMobil's offer for InterOil a model for buying at the bottom
#2
Extending Clyde Russell's point, Total can forget about its new foothold in the burgeoning market of the Far East with XOM's acquisition of IOC. Total will no longer be the majority partner in the decision whether to expand PNG LNG or build Papua LNG. Without IOC Total will no longer have majority control against a united OSH XOM front. Elk/Antelope gas will go to PNG LNG, as well all all the other gas yet to be developed and discovered in Gulf Province.
