Total will no longer be the majority partner in the decision whether to expand PNG LNG or build Papua LNG. Without IOC Total will no longer have majority control against a united OSH XOM front. Elk/Antelope gas will go to PNG LNG, as well all all the other gas yet to be developed and discovered in Gulf Province.
Art- Thanks for your insightful post, If you have time, please re-read Clyde Russell's first paragraph.....it ends with" holds the promise of long term returns" .I truly do not believe that he has any idea just how true his words are . In the coming years when all our almost 4 million acres are developed, Arun could quite possibly look like a "minor" compared to what is beneath our acreage in PNG . Many years hence, Exxon will smile about what a buy they made for a song to feed their expanding PNG/LNG increased trains. [ ...in the past (at one time in one of his speeches,Peter O'Neill mentioned 5 or 6 trains ) . Hmm ] Life does get interesting at times ! Thanks again for your thoughts on our behalf .
