I wouldn't hold my breath: he also said IOC would never receive substantial offers (even promising to leave Yahoo if they did) and routed for years for people who argued, with the help of bogus science, that the resource was uneconomical, wells would implode, etc.
For me I'm curious what led GLJ, their official Canadian evaluator suddenly lower their resource estimate, I might have missed that but has there ever been any public explanation for that which makes sense? Obviously other evaluators saw it differently and perhaps GLJ realized they had a point, but that's just one explanation. Perhaps they were even unreasonably bullish before the change.
