My guess is that Shel, didn't sign the CA, thats why they weren't in the data room. Why didnt they sign it? Could be they thought Duma could de-rail the project, could be they planned to come in later and delay everything hoping to buy in on the cheap. Who knows? Could be so they could play the stock and try to do a buyout in the future. I have a feeling they haven't been big buyers os the stock to get a position ahead of buyout. There isnt much flaot and I think if they were actually buying in a size that would really help them it would have shown up .....but who knows.
JKM could be working with Shell as operator now...but my thinking is they are working with a fellow Asian behomoth that they and PNG know well and have for a long time. I think we will know soon .
