Putncalls, google LNG "re-gasification process" and you can find as much info as you have time to digest. (I got captured this morning looking into the question you asked and hours passed quickly!) There are various applications, warming the LNG in different ways. Where warm water is available year around and cold water can be discharged, water is used in heat exchangers. Heat efficiency of the process is important, at least where energy is expensive. I didn't find any references to directly recovering energy from the difference in the temperatures. But to save energy costs, it might be possible to locate complementary industries nearby, producing excess heat or needing cooling.

I was wrong above where I stated that LNG can't be transported by tanker trucks. Cryogenic tanker trucks are already in use to some extent.
