"Redistribution keeps the engine of economic prosperity from running out of steam."  You have got to be kidding!  I don't even know where to start, so all I will say on this matter is that some people are incapable of learning from the mistakes of others.  History is littered with the ruins of societies which were doomed to learn from the  errors of their own misplaced judgement.  Good intentions are no excuse for the disasterous results of such naive thinking.

I'm heard that before, Kerekesc, about history being littered with the ruins of societies for this reason and that.  Could you please list a few societies which were ruined by redistributive tax policies?  Unless my memory fails me, our own economy was much healthier than now during the years when we had a much more redistributive tax structure.
