Hemi, your post reminds me of what Mr. Mendez said to Will (the character who was played by our friend we met at the steakhouse in Grand Rapids):
"The greater the struggle, the more glorious the triumph!"
Thanx for the reminding me of that Orlando. I still shake my head when I think about that evening, incredible human being we met that night.

Remarkable, kinda puts things in perspective.
H&H,
Hemi
Perhaps it would be appropriate to fill in a few more details. This past June, quite a number of IOC shareholders were enjoying Tusker's generosity and talking about IOC at the Spinnaker Lounge at the Grand Rapids Hilton. It was the night before the shareholders' meeting. Six of us (all SHU members) left the gathering around 9:15 to go across the road to a steakhouse. Bobby got hungry. We had intel that some IOC officers would be coming by the Spinnaker later, but we knew we had time.
As we were going into the steakhouse, Hemi and I saw another group of three entering the restaurant at the same time and recognized one of them as Nick Vujicic. I had seen him on the internet. Hemi had read his book. We were the only two groups in the entire steakhouse. Hemi and I made a point to meet NIck. Nick was extremely gracious and suggested we take some pictures with him, which we did. Nick was in Grand Rapids for a speaking engagement at a school the next day. It was quite an experience to meet him in person.
Nick Vujicic is the star in a short film entitled, "The Butterfly Circus". It is about 22 minutes long and is incredibly inspiring. About mid-way through the film, there is a powerful line in which the circus owner, Mr. Mendez says to Will (played by Nick), "the greater the struggle, the more glorious the triumph". I'll warn you, Spartina, it may put a lump in ye throat. While most of us long-time IOC shareholders have not experienced near the challenge Nick has, we can relate to the concept of struggle. I believe that the struggle will make the eventual triumph that much more meaningful.

I was not one of the six that met Nick in Grand Rapids but actually had the chance to hear him speak at a financial conference a couple years ago & I can say while he was probably the "least famous" speaker on the docket he stole the show. Hearing him speak and just seeing the excitement & joy he exemplifies in life given his circumstances can't help but make you reflect in your own life. Thanks for reminding me of that

Not sure if this is off-topic or not, but I noticed a recent Vujicic indicator went positive. Nick's wife delivered their first child last week. Looks like the IOC baby has dropped and is getting ready to be delivered in March.
