Why aren't you staying at Phil's with the rest of us?

Always room at mom and pops Weems pad. They'll be away and we'll have it to ourselves. I think Henry is staying there.

Hello everyone,

With the AGM a little more than 2 months away, I am gearing up to book my trip to Houston.  Since this is my first time in the city I am not sure where to stay.  So I am reaching out to some of our Elders who have no doubt met with the company in the Woodlands and can provide some insight into which hotel to stay at that will be close to the AGM meeting location.

Now, most importantly, where are we going to be holding the IOC PRE (no pun intended) meeting?

Keep it on Ice,
Hemi

p.s.  Tusker, my little sister is getting married that weekend, so I won't be arriving until Sunday afternoon.  I haven't decided yet if I am leaving Monday or Tuesday and I haven't forgotten about that role of pennies ;-)

Good day Hemi,

Sorry to get back late.  I have had my Tucker Bag on making ice runs.  Got the good cubes now... glacial ice, 20,000+ years old, formed under 2000 lbs PSI, soild blue, adds a little auditory to the glass.

Understand from a former Nik participant that a previous LPR's meetings was held at fully intergrated conference centre close by  the Woodlands.

Let  me inquire with IOC/IAH and update.

Thanks for remembering.

Cheers

I don’t know where they will be holding the Annual Meeting but if they are going to do it right they should have it at the Woodlands Resort and Conference Center. http://www.woodlandsresort.com/?_vsrefdom=woodlands-ppc&gclid=COPv8p660LYCFRQDnAodDwkAzA

It is only about a mile from the IOC office. They are set up for very large conferences and it is in a golf course setting. They have a very nice dining area. If you want to eat elsewhere you will have to drive.

I was there about 40+ years ago for a Halliburton Conference and more recently we have been having a company reunions there. I was there in 2009 and 2012. The rooms are spread out all over the place in several two story buildings but they have a shuttle service you can call for if you don’t want to walk to the main building where they have the restaurant and many very large conference rooms.

If they hold the Annual Meeting at their office instead of the Conference Center you will be conveniently located if you stay here. I have never been to the IOC Office so I do not know if they have a room there large enough to accommodate the Annual Meeting but either way you will be fine if you stay here.

Make sure you have the right place before you make the reservation. I think there may be other places with similar names.

Wait a minute....wait a minute....WAIT just one minute!  I HATE Houston in the summer!  That BLASTED heat is unbearable in  February let alone mid June.  Can't we just have the AGM here in Grand Rapids where I don't have far to walk to get there?  Spinnaker?  Guinness? Green Grass instead of desert sands? Nice, clean, new and efficient airport? Come on fellers!?
