True or not true this is definitely sign of action. A rumor of a bid IMO will NOT suppress other bids, in fact it can enhance them. That is the beauty of multiple bids. With recent news of large LNG projects being tabled due to cost, the time is absolutely right for ANYONE to get involved in the E/A project where the extraction costs are low.

We voted for Exxon. Shell has so many issues. Did IOC count our vote yet??? LOL!I still think IOC does a deal with Exxon in some way and this article today is about a Shell Farm In Agreement. What will Adam G do if IOC signs TWO Super Majors.

I honestly do not care what name it is at the end of the day. Shell, XOM, Total, CVX They all bring with them the deep pockets, reputation and expertise of a major O+G company. The deal will be iron clad and very defined as stated here multiple times. There are many factors that are being ironed out and this will all be determined before the deal is done. That is what is being bid on.

If this is just shell posturing then that is fine to. Adds fuel to the fire.

When there is no news people will believe anything, classic line is news has been on the streets for two weeks.  If it makes the stupid stock go up I am all for it.
