While his humor is something of an acquired taste and not for the faint of heart, I think the point made here is that this is what one can expect. We'll have to see about that, but history shows it's well within possibilities..

Quite frankly, I am tired of all the " negative " rumours, whether they be lies or distortions spread by the shorts or sarcasm by the longs. I have owned IOC for almpst 5 years and I don't need any more stock gyrations. BB posts do not translate sarcasm very well, and although I have appreciated this BB very much, I don't think we need any more declines because of shorts misconstruing " facts " let alone rumours. Why on earth do we need to give the shorts ammunition, so that they can profit at our expense once more. Enough already.

Well, I think the intention was to disarm them with the help of (rather cynical) humor, but like I said, it's an acquired taste, not for everybody..

Actually what Tree is saying is that there already is BS short propaganda being circulated via non public channels and that it wouldn't surprise him to see this BS in a paper or publication in the next few days. This has nothing to do with humour, just trying to give people a possible heads up and to not panic if it it goes public.
Keep it on Ice,

Hopefully, if some BS story is posted in the news, that management will quickly move to discredit in a PR and with Exxon, if possible. When Exxon talks, people listen. P.S. the shorts have cost me ( and my friends ) plenty over the years. they dont need any " help" from us longs. They are despicable, in what they have tried to do to the Interoil share price. The shorts " force " longs, who don't have the the time or the confidence ( which is certainly hard to maintain at times ) . to sell at a loss ,or for less than the gains they should have.

Given the proximity of SPA closure, the journalistic integrity of writers like Blair Price Russell Searancke Wellington who cover the InterOil, and their direct line of communication with the company’s management, negative misleading press on InterOil is much less likely than the publication of positive articles on the deal that reflect reality. InterOil’s ascent up the wall of worry has just begun. The skepticism created by a string of disappointing catalysts that were accompanied by overly optimistic expectations and attempts to discredit the company in the press over the years have resulted in tepid expectations and a lack of speculative activity heading into the transformational event InterOil investors have been awaiting for a very long time.

Its a plausible short argument . Here's their spin. Deal was supposed to be announced by Feb 28th, And then May 24th with a 60 day window and its passed those dates so there must be an Exxon issue.
Reality is the deal is agreed to and under legal review. Exactly when the lawyers will finish getting paid we don't know. The deal is not in jeopardy. Exxon is not being Exxon. Fact:Exxon needs the IOC NG and wants this deal as much as IOC wants this deal. Relax all is well.

Hemi, if there are such bogus tweets and posts in non-public channels then why are they not referenced here? To post only part of the information does none of us any good and only causes more stress. Time will tell.... |
