they don't want us to see it. btw, two things T/A left if mgt is legit and I believe they are.
1. Double bottom in 63 area.
2. Big Bear Trap and the shorts love to create that. If so, maybe take 63 out and bottom 58-62 and wash ioc out thoroughly. Age old commodities trick.
Either one of these happenings and I believe you have THE bottom in in IOC. Classic TA action, but I suspect some type of news likely next week to put an end to this decline. Also the short action last six trading days, and especially today is very consistent with past times where good company news were to emerge. The shorts actions are similar to this. all imo.

Anybody remember when we had our last substantive news from IOC? I don't recall a thing since the AGM (and precious little public information was given even then). Sure, we've had some vague confirmations of ongoing talks but has there been ANYTHING else? Zero, Zip, Nada seem to be the operative words when measuring the IR output of this company since the March 1st date was announced as the deadline for submittal of bids. Hell, we didn't even know about xom exclusivity until O'Neil mentioned it, sending IOC scurrying to cover that base.
So here's the question: Just why is it so bad to inform investors about the general nature of any talks? Have they stalled? Are they ongoing? Who is involved? Are there multiple tracks? Which is the lead agency for the government? What is the current role of the IBs? Are they all still engaged? It is just so disappointing having to read nothing but speculation from second or third hand communications for almost the entire last nine months.
We wonder why the stock slides?

With radio silence from IOC management, we are sitting ducks for short attacks. I am surprised they have been so quiet lately.
Unlike others here I don't expect any news this year. I also suspect that shorts will revisit the $53-55 range without much effort.

Put,
While HNR wasn't able to close their deal due to some political complications what I was referring to was HNR's chart from Jan 12 - Jul 12...like ioc they were trying to close a transformational deal...they told shareholders they were trying to close the deal yet the pps kept going down. Then "out of nowhere" they announced the deal and the pps was up 93% and broke through previous highs
