Chandler up to 19.8%

Chandler can only really buy up to 20% right?

What happens if and when he gets passed that?

I think at that point he has to file a statement of his intentions.

Richard Chandler et al filed the Schedule 13G/A to indicate his total holdings in InterOil.

FROM INVESTOPEDIA:

Investopedia explains 'Schedule 13G'

To be able to file a 13G instead of a 13D, the party must own between 5% and 20% in the company. It must also be clearly understood that the party acquiring the stake in the company is only a passive investor, and does not intend to exert control. If these criteria are not met, and if the size in the stake exceeds 20%, a 13D must be filed.

It seems to me that once 20% is breeched, Chandler would have to file the 13D and reveal some confidential information that he may not wish to divulge:

Chandler owns 20% of EWC whose LNG plant is by Mistake? shown on one of IOC's slides.

Now that he has almost 20% of IOC mabe he can help PNG with their Oil Search problem and leave it there..

Just a rainey day thought.

Richard Chandler is a multi billionaire who has made a fortune investing in energy companies. I would encourage all to go to the company website to gain insight into their investments. I found it useful.

Getit any shareholder that own more then 5% of a company has to file any purchases within 3 to 5 days of purchase. That is via a 13d or 13 g. In those filings he must state his intentions and he has done this each time. He can buy more then 20 percent of the company as long as he is friendly. The shareholders rights plan, or poison pill as you know it, will only go into effect to protect shareholders incase someone goes hostile. His intentions are for investment per his fillings. Not hostile and not activist at this point.
