What I think. FWIW

Thank you for your input PET.

Do you or does anyone have an educated guess as to when Wahoo will be spud. A looksy at the weather in PNG seems that it has been cooperating. It seems that they were just assembling the rig now on the drill pad and waiting for some part to come in from Napa Napa per the last PR.

Anyone have a good guess?

Expecting managment to execute on world class resources is not "a lack of patience".  You seem to want the stock to crater so you can be the last man standing.  I don't get it.  And I'm long.  FWIW.

Cyber- I have no new information of the spud date since the PR of Jan 29th. At that time they had 25% of the rig moved from Napa Napa. I do not know the conditions of the road to Napa Napa. This will be the first well IOC has ever drilled with this rig, so the rig up as well as the drilling may be slow until the crew(s) get familiar with all of the equipment and they see if all of the equipment is in working order after being stacked for so long.

Stock has a history which is changing. Sad history.
Read the Total slides see what they say today.
Hession is delivering.
They say certification in 2014-15, LNG production late 2017 ,
9 T's of assets
Reality will come
I still say a closed deal and IOC gets revalued . Until then
one has a chance to add if so inclined.
This size asset gets monetized .
Only the most naive miss that point

Only the naive believe its that simple JFT, which if you've owned IOC for any length of time you shouldn't be. If it is, I'll benefit immensely but only if you are naive do you think this is all gong according to plan - which is frankly a bit scary. But if you have an endless time horizon and no sensitivity to share price thrn it works out great ( I can be sarcastic too - hohoho). In the digital world sarcasm doesn't translate well. You need to have a beer/drink face to face before that works properly. I think Palms advise is best - turn off the computer and wait until June.

Judging IOC with Phil's legacy is not the same as Hession
When it all closes is just not known today

Having a bad day Sam?  I hope everything is going okay in your life.  Since you are clearly in a negative place and thinking inside the box I will clarify my thoughts to help you realize alternatives and get you off the railroad train of thought.

Fact

  • SPA - IOC gets 2 certifications
  • SPA - IOC/Total are going to be drilling 2/3 wells to further delineate E/A in the next 12-16 months.

So, regardless if IOC find any other gas in any other licenses:

  • There will be a 0.613 billion payment on selldown completion closing in 1st quarter 2014
  • There will be a 1st certifcation payment between 0.53 and 3.78 billion dollars in 2015
    • This does not include the later fid or first cargo payments
  • A 2 train LNG plant that will go live between 2017-2020

I expect that the PPS is going to go up during this period - HOWEVER let us assume that I know someone that has intimate knowledge of the seismic information and interpretation from IOC's data room.  Now, let's revisit my original statement:

I wonder what it would mean if Triceratops was connected to Bobcat and Bobcat was connected to E/A?

and this tidbit from the SPA

Any additionaly gas found that is part of the E/A structure gets paid out at 1.29/Mcf

  • Yes this is a 1.29/Mcf because at the time of the 2nd certifications the final ownership percentage of PRL 15 will be completed

Now if you have the patience to wait for the LNG plant to go live in the next 3-5 years, you mine as well wait the extra 6 months to 2 years to see if there is a super structure that connects Tri to E/A and see what the 2nd certification payment from Total turns out to be.  So do you have the patience?  Based upon your posts in this thread Sam, it sounds like you don't?

H&H,
Hemi

On the other hand I may just want the stock to crater.......

You nailed it Hemi.  Bad day.  Beat the wife kicked the dog, and worst of all - criticized IOC.  Oh, that's right, I'm a short or an options player.  Blah blah blah,  and so you talk to WA just like everyone else.  You have no inside knowledge, just be honest, ok?  We all know it's worth a lot more and it will take patience, but please - you don't own this all yourself so don t be so SMUG. You add  no value.  Pet is the only one who does, frankly. No offense to your "intimate" contact.  Hopefully he gave you a heads up on Dec 5th.

H&H ( non-sarcastic - JFT said you were so not sure how to take that)
