Maplell... what exactly is this? Speculation... blame? { if so for what?} How do you make the statement "we could have saved 3 months."... If Han was ill and resigned from both companies what are you implying exactly? And more importantly how do you know?

"They just couldn't comment or accuse someone in public before they find any hard evidence"

There have been a couple of twisted versions about Han's story. So it depends on which rumor you heard. Shorts said 'NQ had something to hide and that caused the disagreement between Han and NQ' which is untrue. It's kind of the opposite. NQ is totally clean and PwC found no fraud. Han's idea to delay the IC release over and over again made NQ looked like they had something to hide. When the delays caused the SP to drop from $12 to $8, the only ones that benefitted from it were shorts, not the company or shareholders. This is just one example. I had already shared some information I know in the past, so I'm not going to repost.
Han did resign from Wuxi after people questioning why she resigned from NQ but not Wuxi. So this action can't prove one way or the other.
The bottom line is that letting Han go benefitted the company and shareholders. We are already seeing the results. I don't want to comment on this issue any further. People can check my posts in the past and see if I have posted any rumor that was proved untrue later on. Everybody has his/her own way to connect the dots. It's up to you to believe it or not.
Many people have suspected shorts had insider help during the audit process. Whether it was in NQ or PwC or both we don't know. I hope we can find out eventually.

doesn't seem like this is a particularly productive line of posts...it's like the second derivative of a murky rumor of even murkier origin....something out of tinker tailor soldier spy....only george smiley could crack this one...lol

quantum I tend to agree on the murky rumor theory... It is pure speculation that Han was not going to resign from Wuix but did so after questioning about the resignation at NQ. Second the statement that nq is "totally clean" completely leaves out the statement made by DT concerning the missing information on certain devices { which management could not explain and to this day will not address}.

I'm pretty sure I read Paul Gillis say something on his blog to the effect that if a company doesn't like ambiguity it shouldn't set up shop in China. Perhaps the missing data fits into that characterization in such a way where Marcum Bernstein Pinchuk believes it can work around the issue and still do its due diligence in completing the audit. And as for Han's resignation, I think some posters would do well to refrain from passing along or publicly speculating about rumors that call into question her reputation without any hard evidence to go by. That's a strategy we all deplore when it's used by some of the unscrupulous shorts and doesn't serve much purpose here as far as I can see. Hopefully, Marcum hit the ground running and will be able to wrap up the audit expeditiously. I'm thinking the SEC will be monitoring the process and doing its own extensive review, including lots of questions and information requests for NQ mgt. given all the unusual circumstances surrounding this saga. I've got to believe they'll be looking into the issue of the "missing data" as well and will be expecting some sort of satisfactory resolution in terms of its nature and materiality. It'd be nice to see a few more PR's in the meantime announcing successes on the operating front. |
