All the current price targets are in the $80's yet here we are at $48. In hindsight we all should have sold at $90 a year ago. $80 in the next few months? It depends. Given the current set of facts the $80 figure being floated represents a fair price but likely would be increased with positive WBR news and/or greater than P50 E/A certification. Without that news then yes I would take $80. With that news we have a different set of facts. Either way a 65% premium over the PPS is a resounding yes! UBS still restricted.

I would like to see the offer for 80...Who is it from and what does it entail. I will consider any offer...That is business. To shut the door on things before you even see them is imho naivete.
Where is the offer? Or is this more rumor?

Written offers must be revealed verbal ones not so . Hungry investment banker is my take stirring the pot for a deal so they can get paid. A deal has to start someplace.
A closed deal at $80 isn't in the cards but Cove Energy rose 400 percent when the bidding started.
Most likely buy out time is right before the plant opens not today.
But bring on the bids let's see where we go .

Verbal offer is not an offer...Until something is in writing then it is just hot air...
We have been hearing this for years. It has come to the point of absurdity.

Perhaps my reasoning and line of thinking is off here, and someone please correct me if I am wrong, but why wouldn't you want a buyout at 80? here is why: Those that want 80 take and it move on. Those that do not then buy equivalent Woodside shares as Woodside would have added the same upside that IOC had. You just own the same resource now under a different company. Is that line of thinking off base?

The whole purpose of holding onto to IOC is riding the stock for the next 5+ years. If your looking for a buyout here?
