Palm- Good AM to you ! Can you confirm that the preparation site for the Tri 3 well is to the nw rather than to the sw? If so, that would indicate to me that Dave and Laurie believe the target zone will rise in that direction and could possibly have better reef potential. Thanks for any light you might be able to shed on this concern. Good fortune to you, et al.

John, may I take a shot without claiming to be an expert?  Apparently the hydrocarbon carbon extends hundreds of meters down dip.  On slide 16 of the previous formation it showed Raptor-1 drilled through "only" 200 meters of pay at the upper edge of the  upthrust formation.  What they are saying, as I understand the situation, is we still have hydrocarbons as we move off to the right (down dip on slide 16).  It's a reverse situation to that we found on Triceratops-2, where we came in low on the formation and have a very high hydrocarbon column extending up dip.

Nice update/presentation from the conference. The Raptor 1 news that they expect there is additional "multi-hundred" meters of reservoir there is a nice surprise. Laurie did a very nice job explaining things and it looks VERY promising for the future of IOC and its shareholders.

Thy- No expert here either,but.....some weekend if you have time,please look at Gran Tierra's Moqueta field in Colombia.They now have 12 to 15 wells in that field drilled recently. After drilling the Moqueta #1,each successive well was drilled down-dip ( I believe) with oil and no water cut or contact for several more wells.Don't know at this time if Raptor #2 and Raptor #3 will be down-dip, but I feel strongly that they will be very "interesting" to the southeast ! Question regarding future RAPTOR-2 well: Since we had to use 'heavy' barite(?) mud to control this well - and therefore could not get a good long-term test, how can we avoid this same problem when we drill RAPTOR-2 !?!? (or to ask it another way, how do we 'clean-up' a Raptor-1 if we wanted to put it into production ?)

I'm a little disappointed there weren't any hard numbers that came out of his presentation, and once again no mention whatsoever of water.  Yes, he did a very nice job of providing an overview of the program.  If there was a way to provide an even briefer summary it might be done in a single sentence.  Something like, 'there's a sh*tload of gas in our PPLs and we've just found the first of it!".

Sageo, I can't necessarily confirm, but in the 11/14/2014 presentation, Slide 11 they show Tri-3 north and a little west of Tri-2.  Since their flyover shows the site pretty well developed, I would expect that's as close to a confirmation as we'll get right now.

Hession is kicking WBR news solidly into 2015 and FID is years away. As we are all painfully aware a lot can happen as the years pass by including Total saying thanks but no thanks or take it or leave it. Assuming all the references to "obvious upside" are true and E/A certification proves up the maximum and/or WBR are big discoveries why would Total pay $2.75 - $3.5 billion for 40% of one lease when they can buy the whole enchilada for a bit more? If results are low to moderate a low ball offer or possibly walk away. The reality is that the $400 million is an option to buy the entire company for whatever is proven. When the time comes IOC will have to accept an offer from Total or run to Exxon before PNG forces their hand. Hession is delaying WBR as long as possible to avoid an offer before Total has to make the next resource payment on E/A. Unfortunately losing arbitration could leave Hession having to renegotiate under current market conditions or possibly no deal. Ouch! On the other hand if IOC prevails in arbitration and Hession can get Total to cough up a couple billion before tipping his WBR hand he may be able to fend off the obvious buyout and get his magic carpet off the ground. Quite a dangerous game he is playing with nothing to lose. In the insanity that is IOC wait until next year. Wonder how the minority interest partners view all this with their pockets full of cash already? Must be nice. Anyway, a lot of games yet to be played and plenty of curves along the way. The good news is that 2015 should bring this to a conclusion one way or another. Merrily merrily merrily merrily life is but a dream! UBS still restricted. GLTA.

Agree Thy; good explanation and makes sense based on their graphic/seismics.
