Palm: "Yep, but we'll get more bang for Total's bucks on the appraisal and exploration well(s) that they are paying for during this very important time of certification. One might almost get a little optimistic during this window."

Indeed Palm.

TOTAL probably has 18 months to make an Engineering/Procurement/Construction (EPC) Lump Sum deal at the good prices Hession is alluding to.

The additional appraisal and exploration well(s) drilled in parallel with the FEED should not prevent TOTAL from making the EPC Deal while the window is open.

TOTAL usually works hand in glove with Technip. I don't see any reason why they would go with anyone else. Technip built the Yemen Balhaf LNG Plant. It was a decent project ... too bad it's in the wrong place.

TOTAL needs to get another LNG plant in the works soon to replace the lost production at Balhaf and the lost project in Yamal Russia with the crooks from Novatek, which is down the proverbial toilet bowl without a paddle (or something like that).

So, it's to all PRL 15 partners' advantage to move things along very briskly now and if OSH plays "nice" here, they may look at PNG LNG as some nice starter wood for the trail they blaze across PNG.

Page 24 of the presentation (http://www.interoil.com/iocfiles/documen...tation.pdf) as you point out together with the "best quality reservoir seen" in A5 suggests the $1.717 Billion certification payment is still very much on the table.

Thoughts on their combining Wahoo and Antelope South numbers with an estimate of 9 TCFe?  Standard gamesmanship or something more?

Art, on the latter, those are prospects, not yet officially considered discoveries, and therefore combined to get a "prospective resource" number.  Discoveries Triceratops, Raptor, and Bobcat are combined to get a "contingent resource" number in addition to E/A.

I think what they're saying is "games" of past are not being played. The enhanced seismic did not do much with GLJ numbers, but they added a little I believe. So now they say we are meticulous with what we do and report. Our seismics are better and we drill where the seismics show the most promise and so far we are proving up that concept. We are confident to the nth degree that PRL 15 will have more than enough for our 2-train startup and we'll share that with you after final drilling and testing in 2Q. We also are confident in these 2 prospects (Ant S and Wahoo) so think of the possibilities. Ant S is within PRL15 so we have plenty likely for 1-2 additional trains between AE and Ant S. All right here together. Wahoo anyone?

This glutton for punishment has been pooling some cash for this time and I'll gladly pull some of the RC shares back across the water this week.

Per the PR, the Dec. 31, 2014 GLJ estimate of 9.9 Tcfe is "equivalent to that of Dec. 31, 2013", and therefore reflected no incorporation of the enhanced seismic, as I suspected would be the case and indicated to jft.  To do that, GLJ probably would have to have redone all their seismic evaluation work, which I would say was considerable;  and IOC and Total will have two resource engineering firms doing all that from scratch, I assume, in a few months, anyway, with three new wells and additional seismic not even available at all last year.  The enhanced seismic in addition to all that may get IOC a big bump up!

Talk of 17T meant to re-set sentiment amongst shareholders, and TOT, as to what management expects to develop or be compensated for, in M&A.  This ain't your dad's 9.9 T company.

Well said, Tree!!!

I think (and hope) there is little chance of that.
