DISCOVERY @ BOBCAT

From what Laurie Brown said at the Petroleum and Mining Conference, their preferred strategy will be to appraise the finds, monetize them (by some sort of selldown?) and move on to the next exploration target. The new seismic program described at the conference supports that strategy by targeting the structures down the coast between Antelope and Wahoo. Raptor, Bobcat, and Triceratops won't be the last of the discoveries.

If IOC were able to develope and sell this for a margin of $8/mcf that is worth over time $16 billion. Remember, that's only Bobcat. The current market cap of IOC is $2.5 billion. Here's the view from 40,000 feet: Most of us at SHU are holding shares in a company sitting on top of what might well be the greatest new hydrocarbon resource of our kids' generation. There are plenty of moneyed interests (just how many billionaires are there, and how many trillion dollar syndicates exist?) that can hedge in a sophisticated way the investment needed to drive the market price for IOC shares down. The cost of such action is insignificant compared to the upside of the investment associated with any buyout using numbers we've thrown around this board for years. There is logic to IOC now being down 2.5 on a day with over twice the daily volume and almost everything else I own is green. I don't know the logic, but am certain it involves very, very large numbers.

Art, I think you get to the crux of the matter. These discoveries ARE good news, perhaps great news. Yet the price continually goes down. Something is clearly not right. The question for IOC shareholders is can things be made right in a reasonable amount of time for us to get the meaningful gains that we long for and thing we deserve. I agree with CAC that a buyout seems to be the only way. Perhaps at some point management will seek one.

Good evening. Well, the PPS clearly dominates most topics today, but if I may, I would like mention that BobCat is a discovery. IOC's fifth discovery in a row in the EPB. So for that news, and InterOil,s success, may you join me for a toast.

Another huge discovery it seems. Look forward to learning more about this structure in 2015. It does appear that drilling will be continuing as TD has not been announced yet. One question that may or may not be answered is migration along trend #1. Perhaps we have some sort of oil sheen in a small section across that water/gas contact.

Tusker -
Hope you enjoyed the wine. Sorry I'm late to the party. I wonder how many people on this board today feel like Alice.

Interesting comment Tucker . See slide 15 on the Dec 3 rd presentation slides .
Picture on the left shows a hand with mud from those pumps . What's it mean to the Pet Engineers ?? Why choose this picture for the slides ?. What's the message .
