Oil Search Sell Down
#1

Just in Oil Search sold half of their stake in the gulf of Papua to Total. Press release doesn't give in pricing info that I see so far.

The majors are coming to town. Wait a minute, I thought Shell was the big cheese! But I see Shell is working with Petromin on the east islands offshore prospects. That'll make them happy.

Think Total qualifies as an approved operator? I think so.

I thought IOC was overstating their resources & PNG was to unstable for any SM to do business in

Further de-risking of PNG.  Let's see, XOM, Shell, Total all seeking 30-50 yrs. of revenues in investment worthy iittle ole PNG.  Wonder which SM IOC will add to the list of who's who of SMs and NOCs to the neighborhood??

Mitsui, JAPEX and KOGAS also say they'd like to add their names. They're in the bak row waving their hands like Tree in Mr Travaris' chemistry class. Certain..........

This is for both offshore and onshore. They have all of the license areas around IOC's PPL 237  and PPL238. It includes a few blocks inside our license areas i.e. our license area surrounds some of their blocks.

When I saw the the second to last slide with Total/Oil Search having IOC surrounded, and at times even infiltrated, I had to laugh.

Best,

I knew it !!!!!!  Total (perhaps in combo with GDF/SUEZ)  also a Buyout candidate for IOC !

Total  despite being vey interested in IOC did not sign a NDA with IOC , strange because they are mega buyers in the gas arena and an ideal Asian player

BTW like RDS they need the Gas

I see Total buying up alot more fields

Thank you good news
