New SA article by Treasure Hunter

Another good article on SA from Treasure Hunter (DB):

"To get the bear side of the InterOil (IOC) investment case, I spoke with an Australian hedge fund manager who is a well-known vocal critic of InterOil. I reached out to him to discuss his short thesis in detail. We had two separate conversations. I was left underwhelmed and puzzled after the calls." Who might that Aussie HF manager be?

How wrong could I be suggesting Bronte Capital's John Hempton?

Wayne has had several conversations Hempton with even a meeting and he John Hempton is quite stubborn. Does this explain why he and Tilson both had to close their funds and then reopen with fewer assets. Their type fund doesn't get paid anything till they make up their losses. Appears they thought they couldn't make up the losses and closed and then reopened. Anyone surprised fewer persons signed on the second time around??? Tilson may have attended Harvard but what did he learn?????

C'mon JFT. Aren't you being a little harsh on JH? He's entitled to his opinion isn't he? Hohoho. As long as he's willing to pay the price.

There is one other item that I consistently hear from the shorts.  It is:

Even if IOC gets a deal it is going to be underwhelming.  Some people have suggested prices below 1/mcf and have even went so far as to suggest 0.14/mcf.

I think Tree's post here and Sam's post on SA here suggest otherwise.

Keep it on Ice!
