Another Lucky Guess
#1

I know no one but me cares about this but if I don’t tell you how great I am you will never know. Besides it helps the self esteem of an old obsolete Petroleum Engineer to make a lucky guess once in a while.

On January 24, 2013 I guessed the top flow rate for the production logging 4 point test at Antelope-3  would likely be below 48 MMCFD http://shareholdersunite.com/mybb/showthread.php?tid=2624&pid=16522#pid16522

(I just high lighted it for you)

On Feb. 28, 2013 IOC gave a presentation http://www.interoil.com/iocfiles/documen...0Final.pdf
Page 15 , where they said the flow rate from the well was 47.1 MMCFD.

Of course they never got around to opening it up for the 100+ MMCFD rate.

As you know IOC (Wayne Andrews) will be giving a presentation tomorrow, April 15th at the IPAA  OGIS meeting in New York at 8:35 AM Eastern time. I expect the slides to be available on the IOC website about an hour before the web cast begins. I think there will also be a link for the web cast on the IOC web site.  I do not know what he will have for us that is new but I am hoping for an update on a few items. Since they recently put out the word that the spudding of Elk-3 would be happening soon I am hoping that means a deal has been struck and they now know who the new partner will be and have their OK to resume drilling. A few things that I would like to know about are:

(unless we get a PR before the market opening I don’t think Wayne will have much to say about the sell down deal)

1. Status of the spudding of Elk-3.

2. Status of Rig-2. Will it drill Antelope-4 or move to another prospect? Triceratops, Tuna or Wahoo?

3. Status of the extension of the drilling deadline for Tuna and Wahoo. I believe we have been told these extensions were applied for but we have never been told whether or not the Government has approved the extensions. I see no reason why we would not get the extensions since it would just move the well and expenditure obligations from the fourth year of the license to the fifth year. (Similar to what they did for Elk-3)

4. Have we arranged for contract rigs for Tuna and/or Wahoo?

5. Will Pacific Rubiales Corporation (PRE) be arranging for one or more rigs for Triceratops and/or other prospects in PPL237?

Like most everyone else I am hoping for an announcement about the sell down and new partner this week or at least before the end of April.

We wait.... Hoping for a good week!!

Brag all you want Pet; your analysis and experience is invaluable. Tough to judge what we'll get from Wayne or the company right now because of the SD process. But we get what we get. Would be nice to get a couple of those items you listed though.

Pet,

We didn't get all your questions answered but I for one am quite satisfied with the PR this morning & the info on the slide deck. I'm expecting a spudding of E3 by end of month as a side note. The PR this morning stating "multiple bidders" seems to me to be the firms way of saying "yes shell is a bidder but they aren't the only bidder"

Nothing much new here. For new items look at the last page, Slide 37.

1. Will have a two rig drilling program. (no new rigs)
2. May drill Tuna and Mako/Wahoo late this year or early next year.
3. Will concentrate on Elk/Antelope and Triceratops. No firm word whether Rig 2 will drill Antelope-4 next or go back to Triceratops.
4. PRE has proposed two wells at Triceratops.

PET- you may have missed this story
PRE announced on their website they will provide two rigs for Triceratops this year. So yes we agree IOC will use its two rigs plus the two from PRE per PRE. That link and story were posted here , But then alot of things are posted here.

Pet,

Having an expert who shares their knowledge for free is an unselfish and rare thing.  Something that sometimes goes without appreciation..........well not on SHU and not today or any other day.  You are a legend Pet and I wish to thank you for taking the time sir, my wife and I are in debt to you!

Health and Happiness,
Efi

Pet - Hemi's kind words reflect my appreciation also. Being great enough to share your vast knowledge so willingly makes you "the man" in my book .As an old, old geologist , you make me feel not so knowing at times.Again (Hemi's words),health and happiness to you and your family.
