Conference Call Suggestion
#1

I suggest that the senior members of the investment bankers be on the cc.  It will be much more credible to hear that good bids have been received and the process is on track from the IBankers and their credibility is part of the reason they are brought on.

LOL - It will NEVER happen. IB's work in the background, not the foreground.

Keep in mind that CCs of public companies are a mine field for potential shareholder lawsuits. There are law firms that spend alot of resources to record these and analyze every word. Given this environment, the less said the better (safer). We are a grossly litigious society.

Why have a conference call at all - just release the financial information and be done with it...

Unless of course, they want to give us an update on the sell-down !?!

I think that InterOil is wanting very badly to give us an update and will do everything within their "legally constrained" power to let us know where we are...

The only "negative" anywhere to be found is in the stock price. (Which I cannot explain and we may never know why the stock has been pinned down during these negotiations...)

Go InterOil ! Announce a blockbuster sell-down that will double the stock price overnight !!!

As far as the selldown management is going to give as much info as they are permitted legally to give on the call next week. This was planned as they knew this was necessary given the passage of time etc. Who knows what all they will be able to say, but the update will likely generate discussion in the call-in section by analysts. How prepared those analysts will be to ask much in the way of follow-ups is anyone's guess. We know how that usually goes. But it's encouraging that they have planned an update.

The shorts are playing the later vs the sooner time period. There is lots of money on the sidelines waiting for assets to become reserves. Some of these shorts will become longs.
