Chuck's retail cost jumped a whopping 50%.  2% to 3%.

According to their desk the 3% is what they are paying lenders for loaned shares.  There's usually a bit of a markup to borrowers for Scwab to make a profit.  May be costing borrowers 7% or more

do you think there are any  positive expectations built into this news release ad conf call?  I would say, at this share price, virtually none, despite what Enron has said, quotes from the famous cocktail party, and at least a couple authoratively written Upstream articles.

Agreed that there appears to be nothing as far as an expectation built into the stock price at this time. Appears that very little information is leaking out and that has put a lid on swings and things. Can only hope for some information regarding the deal on Tuesday, more then the usual.
