PRIME Minister Peter O’Neill and leaders of his coalition group today reaffirmed their commitment for the government to see out its full term.
The leaders met today in Prime Minister’s office at Parliament, before presenting themselves to the media.
They include Mr O’Neill (People’s National Congress); Treasurer Don Polye (THE Party), Petroleum Minister William Duma (United Resource Party), and Forest Minister Patrick Pruaitch (National Alliance).
The coalition partners met following speculation and rumours on social media and on the streets, that the opposition would block the 2014 Budget and force a change of government.
“The government remains intact and focussed on delivering its key priorities in education, health, infrastructure development, law and order, fighting corruption, and growing small businesses.
“the 2014 Budget will reflect that. We will not be deterred by rumours and speculations being deliberately spread to creat instability and uncertainty,” Mr O’Neill said after the meeting.
