They would get a position in PRL 15 and several other wells . Not a sourced idea. Just a thought

What if OSH bought out the minority?

And an interesting thought at that.

Exxon's response would be of interest as well.

Exxon needs NG they say at the roadshow. OSH and Total could so vote to do the train 3 earlier than a Total build.
Gives IOC plenty of time like 4 years to prove more NG. Just thinkin. Who thinks we can't find more NG.???? Look at OSH latest presentation slide 33. See that OSH believes. Look at the size on that slide of IOC's finds.. Miles after miles of good rock.

Link to latest OSH presentation.I like the size of the IOC assets shown. Measured in Kilometers , see scale bottom left corner.
Size of assets is NOT quantity of NG I get it but look at slide 33. Nov 18th field trip slides http://www.oilsearch.com/Media/docs/1311...448d-0.pdf

Because Hession stated on December 6th that the minority interests would be bought out by the end of January I don't believe he thought there was any chance the deal would not be done by now. Something has occurred since then to complicate matters. In this case I'm inclined to think it is something that helps.

Other then being an optimistic person. What would make you think it is a good thing?
It can really go either way. If Hession had a deal with the ipi back then, why wouldn't it close by now?

I think if one works hard to find the information, it is available. While nothing is done......until its done......there is a picture developing. It is not by coincidence or hype (sorry Palm) that OSH mentioned interest in PRL 15 multiple times. It was not pure speculation by the financial publication in Australia regarding OSH's involvement. IOC has been presented with a different opportunity in the taking out of the minority interests. Negotiations with the minority buy-out have proceeded nicely. Terms may even be agreed upon already. The mechanics of that buy out are still being finalized. Negotiations with OSH are likely the final piece of the puzzle.

Wouldn't surprise me if the govt of PNG is pushing for OSH, might cause the bump to $8.55 they sorely need.

Osh is interested in realizing a third train. A small participation in PRL15 against the will of IOC will not bring this nearer. The IPI contracts are full of contradictions. Parties are struggling with the details.
