***The professional shorts are gone . Not sure look at yahoo and Seeking Alpha they have disappeared . Bag holders left
*** Who thinks ONeil wants to stick around after March 2015??To do that he needs a feather in his cap like, Third train at PNGLNG.
**** Please tell me how to get production by 2017 without Exxon and train 3.
*** What has Total stated to their shareholders ? We will spread out our capital expenditures . Several ways to that best way might be some cash flow from train 3.
***Sitting at the table we have whale one- Exxon, whale 2- total , minnow - IOC , fish-OSH and fisherman-PNG govt . What do you think the fisherman harvests??train 3 is my bet.
Must be others these seem like easy ones this AM.

What of Shell and Woodside? Are they not attending the party at all, or have they simply not been announced yet?

PNG LNG production will be a big plus for O'Neill in March 2015. There will not be ANY other LNG production before three to four years. Commitments and plans for any PNG LNG expansion OR a second LNG project will be a "feather in his cap"; both would be a bigger bonus, and probably understood by him as the best outcome for PNG long-term. That is my bet for the "fisherman", and I don't think Exxon is currently even at the table, as they were not at the table before closing with Total as some people were "betting" then.
Total did not do this deal with IOC to sell gas to PNG LNG. There is no doubt about their intent to build a separate LNG project using PRL 15 gas. THAT is what they have told their shareholders. Check out their presentation. It would take some big surprise to change that, and I seriously doubt it will be from the "fisherman".
Are you on some kind of campaign? Why?

Maybe there will be enough NG for everyone? I know that RJ does not think that IOC NG mixes with XOM NG but money talks and welding torches spark. IE: Physically it's a simple change.

If XOM has design on ever getting to six or eight trains at PM, two things must happen: (1) IOC must find the gas and (2) XOM must buy IOC.

Since 2004 we have had 6,000,000 short at least. We have never had less than 6,000,000 short. I think its a market maker position. I would suspect we are below 8,000,000 short today. Thats reality less than 2,000,000 historically. We were under $10 a share and e still had the 6 million short. Makes no sense unless its the market maker. Could be something else but I have no clues.

Trans, you're probably right. It makes sense they would be trying to do that gradually, not all at once, without spooking other shorts too much. The smarter ones probably do not want to be short with the first substantive drilling report!
