Art, how the hell can you misquote me with the quote right in front of you??? I did NOT SAY Hession "has done" a much better job? Are you suggesting you would rather have had Mulacek still in place and about to conduct the AGM?
[/quote]
Sorry. I guess I must have been thinking "past is prologue" or some other nonsense like that. I think I must also have missed the "probably"s.
Yes. I had more confidence I knew what Mulacek was thinking.

IOC has been recapitalized by the TOT deal and as a side benefit was able to cherry pick three wells to drill as the first next domino. If there is anyone here that wants to hear Hession prattle on about executive compensation I hope you have a great time. My interest lies in my compensation and it is time to get me paid along with the many others that have taken the ride down from the 90's six months after the transformational event. If by chance there is no drilling news by AGM I would like to request an amendment to what the shareholders will be voting on besides BOD and other items. I would suggest a change in the stock symbol from IOC to WAIT.
Amen to that brother. This company needs to start producing results with the PPS. That is all that ultimately matters. if I am wrong, someone please correct me. We shareholders buy a stock with the hope it goes up, not down. What Hession has done is ultimately ignore the average investor such as myself, you Lib, and the many that flock to SHU for news and commentary. The beauty in this site is that it offers a forum for we "average" shareholders to discuss what is going on with our mutual investment. What has happened in the last 7 months is this:
The stock fell from 88 to 45 and has recovered somewhat to 63ish. It has seen 69, and flirted with 70, only to be beaten down both times. I want the CEO of this company to start producing results, because I could care less about his compensation plan, I care about mine, as should every shareholder of IOC. Any and all of us who held this stock on December 5th, so far have been completely and utterly let down by Michael hession. he traded us for him in my view. I won;t last forever waiting for him to prove why HIM is US. Get it done. Do something that creates shareholder value or I'm going to sell and move on to something else Mike. That's an honest fact. The clock is ticking and I'm watching the clock quite acutely. Your first year Mike has been a complete disaster in terms of shareholder value, and that is 100% irrefutable. Find more gas. Find oil. Make a move here. give us what we have all patiently waited for, and that is PPS appreciation.

You guys need to "zoom out" a bit. There are 10 verified Ts in the ground that need a way to the market place. Total is giving IOC almost 2 billion dollars next year so i guess there is a verified "pre-market'. Even if Hession is just throwing the "hail mary" pass that Mulacek was afraid to throw and misses, someone gets the gas for a lot more than 30 cents/MCF. Then of course Mulacek may have been a "crazy and greedy cowboy" searching for an empire and Hession just wants to get it done whatever it may entail.

Not sure where Petro's comment went but I agree; drilling results hopefully will come before the AGM because usually at the AGM they deal with what on the circular agenda (which states that these things are what will be discussed); Presentation of the 2013 audited financials, selection of the auditor and election of the Board. They usually have a presentation but it's based on what they've done before with a few little nuggets thrown in. I have a feeling that if they don't release something significant before, anything at the AGM as far as drilling will be disappointing.

I would think Hession would separate any well news from the business required for the annual meeting.

I agree, Palm, having well results news required to be reported with the AGM would seem to be an unlikely coincidence, and I would much prefer news on at least one (Wahoo?) before. However, I would expect an update with the AGM presentation, and I expect they will be the subject of some questions.
Art and jdeo, I definitely share your deep frustration with the pps, but just do not agree on the causes and solutions, and think you are being unreasonable. It has made quite a recovery from the January lows, but is not where it ought to be imo. However, the Company cannot directly control the stock price, and I don't know what they should have done differently, unless they are not going after the shorts as aggressively as I think they should. I would like to get drilling reports/updates as they go, but they probably don't consider it worth the time of the people focusing on drilling and evaluating the wells; and I'm not sure that would have a significant effect on the pps. I think your demands that they get the drilling and testing done faster is unreasonable, really kind of ludicrous. If you think you could get it done faster, please offer your services/ apply for jobs, or at least spell out how!
Art, I'm not interested in any debate on Mulacek, but your expressed preference for him now blows me away. Not only do I think it is much clearer what Hession is "thinking", but I think in the situation the Company has been in since a year ago he is much more capable of translating that thinking into successful action. I shudder to think where we might be without those changes.
In addition to getting the wells done and making discoveries, which I feel sure they are diligently working to do, I think efforts I discussed above to increase coverage and investors and volume is something they will be doing and could have some positive effects over time, in spite of the negative views of that some of you apparently have.

Getitrt,
You are correct that I am frustrated that we seem to take a step forward and the stock gets pulled down again. Perhaps my "demands" upon Hession are unreasonable, and things are progressing in the only fashion they can at this juncture. I am just ready to see the appreciation for which we have all waited. Regarding handling the shorts, the company has been completely negligent in that regard, so i do believe that is a valid criticism. WA is on record stating that they had a "plan" and I haven;t seen anything come to fruition.

Art & Jdeo, I, for one, appreciate your points of view and hope you continue to post your thoughts, regardless of the personal attacks by "some (one)".
I believe it is important to have input from all POVs without fear of personal attacks.
I also agree with some/much of what you had to contribute. Thanks again.
