Furthermore, the investment in IOC is starting to turn south. Using as a basis of comparison IOC and Procter & Gamble stock purchased in January, 2009. At the time, IOC was roughly $17.50/share and P&G was roughly $54.50/share. Money invested in P&G has now doubled and money invested in IOC is now about $6/share above a double. If IOC dips below $35, an investor would have gotten a better return investing in P&G.
For all of the risk involved in investing in IOC, this is an unacceptable return, and will mark be marked as turning point in my investment in IOC. And while yes Ken, I am a nobody in the total investment in IOC, at some point the bigs are going to be asking for Mr. Hession to step down.
