Furthermore, the investment in IOC is starting to turn south.  Using as a basis of comparison IOC and Procter & Gamble stock purchased in January, 2009.  At the time, IOC was roughly $17.50/share and P&G was roughly $54.50/share.  Money invested in P&G has now doubled and money invested in IOC is now about $6/share above a double.  If IOC dips below $35, an investor would have gotten a better return investing in P&G.

For all of the risk involved in investing in IOC, this is an unacceptable return, and will mark be marked as turning point in my investment in IOC.  And while yes Ken, I am a nobody in the total investment in IOC, at some point the bigs are going to be asking for Mr. Hession to step down.

Still however, believing in the resource.  Good luck longs.

We should always consider the source of any heresay. Let's not get too excited about payment delays due to waiting for A6 to come along until something is actually announced by the company. The agreement for the ultimate final resource payment determination doesn't have to be reached for years after the LNG starts shipping.

The bigs asking Hession to step down? Well that could happen I suppose. Then again they could be privy to some grand master plan which Hession has yet to reveal.

And then IOC, with all of its resources, could itself be simply another pawn on the global energy chessboard...or a gnat on an elephant's ass (given IOC's current market cap), however we want to look at it. Maybe the bigs are in position to receive other considerations for allowing IOC to flounder. That scenario of course would be a disaster for us in the retail community and not implausible.

Let's hope Total stays with us, O'Neill remains PM and PNG's leaders truly want to see their country benefit from its hydrocarbon resources. And it would be nice if someone stuck a red hot poker up MH's ass.

BTW, I wish I hadn't sold my P&G 3 years back.

Seems the poker suggestion may have had some immediate impact.
