High Arctic Energy Report- Upcoming well spud
#21
I agree that there is little risk that the wells don't communicate. However, it is my understanding from the SPA, the one that was released, that the Antelope field is defined by pressure communication.

Thy -

"defined by pressure communication."  What does that mean?  Is that related to the question about whether porosity beween the wells can be quantitatively characterized based upon results of the flow test?  I have to imagine there has been plenty of research on that question.  Whether or not that research has resulted in accurate modelling protocols is I suspect the question at hand and whether IOC and Total's geo-whizzes will use any such model is the point of the question. Kind of fun thinking about how that might be done.

Credit to ArtM72 at Investor Village! http://www.newswire.ca/en/story/1528901/...ock-in-png "High Arctic is also pleased to announce that Rig 115 has recently arrived in PNG and is currently being mobilized to the first drilling location in PNG. The rig is on a reduced moving rate during the mobilization period which began mid March, and will go on full operating rate once it is ready to spud the first well. The two year contract term, with anticipated annualized revenue of US$30 million, will begin on spud which is targeted to occur mid May."

I like mid May if this is Ant 6 . What if this new rig can drill Ant 6 if used at Ant 6 in 63 days like Ant 5 .?
That wraps up Ant 6 in mid July ?? Wonder which rig drills Triceratops??

Is it a6 or wahoo? I thought a6 was going to use a5's rig.

First, credit should go to Abaco over at IV for those article finds. Second, whoever's rig is going to spud A6 at least we have authoritative information that SOMETHING of IOC's will spud on or very close to the ides of May. Just two months left now to hear about the proposed design, as well as get a couple of spudding announcements.

Causes me to wonder if Hession is going to present at the AGM or leave it to his partners and suppliers to tell us what is going on.

I don't know, but I am guessing the High Arctic rig is going to Triceratops, given the completion of A5 and the proximity of that rig to A6, unless it needs some work before another spud.

Why not Wahoo for the High Arctic Rig that just arrived in country? I would like InterOil to finish this well ASAP - why not now? They have certainly had plenty of time to 'ponder' the problem(s) and come up with a solution...

John - If one of the High Artic rigs goes to Wahoo, where will the current Wahoo rig go to when it is moved ? Any thoughts ?
