That's a shame about White Tail and Mule Deer, if they really are connected to Antelope. Or maybe I'm not understanding "connect" in the statement (1) above. Does "connect" mean in communication? But if the faults aren't sealing and there is communication with Antelope, then we get back to the two often discussed fact of water being heavier than gas. White Tail and Mule Deer are lower than the gas/water contact at Antelope, and communication implies having the same gas/water contact. (Or no gas in the case of White Tail and Mule Deer.)

jft, as Pet eloquently described in a geology discussion recently, Antelope, Mule Deer, White Tail, and Raptor were likely part of the same reef complex many moons ago, long before the English came to PNG, not long after the Great Alligator created the world. Since that long ago time there has been much faulting and upthrusting and down thrusting, resulting in the spatial relationship in which the four formations now find themselves. So, from that creation myth, the formations share a common origin and in that sense are "connected". But are Antelope, Mule Deer, and White Tail in pressure communication? We've been through the "pressure communication" conversation before, in regards to the relationship between Antelope and Antelope South. I don't want to go through all that again. Suffice to say that water is still heavier than gas.
