Wouldn't it take the same amount of effort to helicopter either 116 or 106 to a drill site?

I think the question is moot as there is no drill site.  Were intention to drill announced I would hope site preparations could commence.  That might only let 116 sit until Christmas with a New Year's spud.

So here's an interesting question.  What is going on that prevents IOC from identifying and preparing sites for its appraisal wells?  We've been hearing about all the remote sensing and hi res seismic studies.  Doesn't IOC have anyone anymore who knows how to read data and make a selection?  Are there problems getting materials, permits or ... worse yet... labor?  PNG gives everyone working for the JV partners immediate work visas so that shouldn't be the issue.

Makes me want to resurrect my Trojan Horse theory of Hession and his band of followers.  Just who does he work for?

Ant 6 drill site must be getting close to being ready. At the AGM they showed slide with site prep well underway. Slide 15; flip 116 here and get going

That's Antelope 6 which is going to get the rig that has just spud  A4S.  No site yet for A7 (there WILL be an A7, we just don't know when) or Antelope South 1 or, for that matter the Raptor eastern flank extension.  Lots COULD be being done to find more gas in PRL15.

Maybe the story here is they don't want or need more gas, TOT being more interested in corporate cash flow planning.  But hey, we've got a new VP in charge of everything in the country (except drilling).

Officially this drilling campaign ends with Ant 6 today at least . The when of drilling is a vote of the partnership . Maybe you should lobby Total and Oil Search the negative voters on speed . ..?.Think the expenses are being spread out because of the lower cash flows from the lower price of oil??

That's the point though. High Arctic stated the rig will sit until the JV partners decide where the rig will go. IF Total wants to move ahead to Certification quickly, they might just decide to flip 116 to Ant 6 since Ant 4 has taken longer to get going than first planned. For the JV that's the most important well left.

Then 103 could go to Ant S or ??? depending on OSH's schedule for P'nyang.

Oil Search has stated P'nyang in 2016 but of course can change their mind . I like Palm's idea of speeding things up with rig 116 at Ant 6 .
