I keep pressing that "Find Out More" prompt on Total's Global Website... subject Papua LNG Project and alas... nothing pops up. Perhaps that Web Master is re-drawing something.

Oh well.

THE Government will make a major statement on a third liquefied natural gas train and the Papua LNG project, says Petroleum and Energy Minister Ben Micah.
Micah said this would be a confidence booster for the country despite the low prices on the world market and a glut of supply.
“I will be making, after consultation with the prime minister, a major announcement on the PNG LNG project third train and the Papua LNG project,” he told The National.
“In spite of all these things, we are going to pull off these projects.”
Micah said buyers, investors and financiers were ready for the projects.
“We will be announcing a final investment decision (for Papua LNG Project) next year, and we will be ready to deliver gas when business is coming back,” he said.
“Prices are expected to leap to US$50-60 per barrel.”
Micah said the current low prices and glut on the world market was no excuse for PNG to be complacent. He said PNG would soon have five LNG trains in the next three years – three for the PNG LNG project and two for the Papua LNG project.
“We’ll be delivering LNG cargo (from Papua) by the time the market evens out and prices will stabilise,” Micah said. “We are not going to sit around and wait for the prices to go up. We are going to deliver another three trains of gas.”

Exxon says its following its commitment to looking for more gas to tie into its west end. Maybe that is what is tying its hands in agreeing to joining with IOC interests adjacent to PRL15. Maybe Wahoo secrets are being kept at their behest.

Could be the Wahoo secret is nothing more than getting stuck again and wanting to quit pouring money into it. Or that there is no secret, just didn't hit a viable target.

Art - Good AM to you . I don't know your age,but if you are old enough to remember Carole King, you might recall her" I Feel the Earth Move Under My Feet" . ( I thought she was  fantastic) . Well ,back to Wahoo..We aren't privy to all the info on Wahoo, but I feel strongly (based on the info that they did share), that the "earth" under our lease that contains   Wahoo, will "move under our feet" in the future. [ Wahoo does have secrets,imo.....future will prove me right or wrong ] .HAGD.

OSH said the following at the end of their 4 May Macquarie Conference Presentation:

"Monitoring opportunities to take advantage of low oil price to optimise portfolio and support strategic priorities"

Translation: "We will be interested to acquire IOC's assets only when they capitulate and hold a fire sale"

Hopefully, they will not be able to follow through on this strategy because ExxonMobil and TOTAL are willing to pay more . . . PRAY
