I wonder if they will comment on their recent purchase of IOC... Hmmm....

Probably too soon - but, before too many months go by, we will be hearing about what a great buy they got !!! Sad

The de-booking of the oil sands AND the low reserve replacement ratios of 2015 and 2016 probably are not fully baked into the PPS for XOM.  Opinions?  If so, could get ugly.  Hope for an OPEC/NOPEC extension!!!!!!!!

Wouldn't it be sadly fitting to find out in the long term that the OSH merger with IOC might have turned out better for us than XOM.  Even though the lower offer was from OSH, maybe they will turn out to be a better SP performer over the next 3-5 year period.  I know that the bounty of the former IOC holdings will be more impactful to OSH than XOM because of the sheer market cap discrepency between the two.

Whohoo I did not sell my last 50 shares that I bought long ago just to see what happens. The long nightmare is finally over. Learned way too much.... If you are going to speculate pay attention. But, I would like to thank Admin and all the regulars here for all their input. You cannot overcome the system if the leaders have it in for you. Always remember their interests may come before the retail shareholder.

May good fortunes be ahead of all especially SAGEO.

Spartina - Good am to you .My appreciation also to STP and Darcy and many others here as well . It has been a great priviledge for me to be able to learn so much from our "pretty sharp knives" on this board . ( ...at almost 86 now,I'm still learning !!) . In my ' computer ignorance' , I hope some of our sharp knives on our board can help me find a way to follow the future path of the Eastern Basin progress, so that if I make it to 90 , I can tell the kids and g-kids about how much "moola" grandpa could have made for them if we would have had an honest & competent CEO and BODs .<img src=" border="0" class="smilie" src="http://shareholdersunite.com/mybb/images/smilies/biggrin.gif" />  This saga has truly been ,as you say,'quite a ride'  !!! (...as the old Magambo Guru likes to say - " notice the 3 exclamation points" ).

Yes thanks for the kind words, it was our pleasure. I'll keep this open for a while, partly out of nostalgia and partly to accomodate demand expressed by at least some members. Perhaps it should now be the Exxon forum, but maybe it's a little too soon for that..
