I've always kind of hoped that the random trade volume we've been seeing is related to employee compensation. Its pretty common for companies to provide their employees with stock options to incentivize them. As a joint venture DSMF can't really do that but if they plan to go public with Nautilus they could be granting certain employees stocks as part of their salary/compensation.

Also interesting statements from the PNG Prime Minister. Maybe these folks will be required to more clearly explain their go-to-market plan which is what I expect is the primary reason for the moritorium rhetoric. Hopefully PNG's % ownership is in the same form ours is...shares of Nautilus.

Christ this is exausting. The video production on this site cost more then these folks have ever spent on marketing.

I refuse to think these folks are so incompetent to erroneously let their domain expire. It costs at most $20 a year to maintain. The video is wildly ambitious ranging from Medical to Agriculture. It has nothing to do with underwater mining.

If you're a new mining company with such aspirations why would you choose and pay for the name Nautilus Minerals if you were a terrestrial mining company? It like naming your company The Space Mining Company and digging in your back yard.

The only domain info I can see is that it was purchased in Egypt. Maybe the location of the folks at DSMF or not?

Such a mystery. Who done it? Regardless this soap opera has been great to follow.

Sycamore + HLV I agree with you both. It looks kind of like a real company / website, but it's just generic and off enough to make me seriously doubt it.  Add in the "loss" of the Nautilus New Era vessel to MDL Energy in 2018 (which apparently never actually happened) and the shady sale of the nodule business to TMC in 2019 I wouldn't put anything pass these guys.

I agree. A different company. My major hang up was that they wouldn't give up their domain but the domains are different.

So, according to PNG DSMF intends two mining trial this year essentially Nov/Dec and commercially operate next year. According to the DSMF website they are fully licenced though there PSV is still only 80% complete. After over two year these billionaires seem unwilling to commit more of there own funds to complete the operation. The completion of the PSV would likely take at least 3-6 months before it is completed from start to finish once funded.

The most obvious way to raise money is to just announce there intention and roadmap for becoming the first deep sea mining operation in the world and allow there stock to trade. But that hasn't happened.

So I think they are waiting for the next ISA assembly at the end of October. Avoid inciting the activists to push the moratorium by announcing their intension. Hopefully get news on the ISA's progress on mining code that is road mapped for next year. Then announce their intensions late this year or early next. Launch. Reap hundreds of millions of dollars on the stock pay for the PSV and ongoing operation. Add several more billions to their current stack of billions. And just maybe allow us poor shareholders to come along for the ride and benefit from a 10+ year investment.
