The question is if he can combine his seat on IOC's BOD with an executive role at PNG's SWF.
That's a legal issue.

Orlando, no one is disputing that Sir Rabbie is a good guy.

Agree Petro with the point you are making. If PNG is going to move from being "the land of the unexpected" to the "land of welcome to the 21st century", they must do these things correctly because these funding agencies expect/demand as much. I would expect that he will be able to continue on the BOD as an advisor, but he must refrain from intervening in issues regarding the government on IOC's behalf. Very thin line. If he ever resigns from the BOD we will have to understand that it is most likely because of conflict issues that he feels can't be resolved.
Hopefully he is able to remain, if nothing else until IOC gets over the hump.

I did not mean to imply that I thought some were disputing that. Like some others on this forum, I was privileged to meet him in Grand Rapids. Neither was I trying to weigh in on the legal question. All I was trying to do was give some credit to Phil and the management for bringing him on board. I assume we all agree it was a good move. As one who believes that Phil and the management have received more than their fair share of Monday morning criticism and second-guessing over the past two years, I just wanted to highlight the fact that Sir Rabbie is with us because the management made a brilliant move.

InterOil has made a number of brilliant moves, including being linked up with Henry Aldorf by Carlo Civelli.through Clarion Finanz. That one is going to turn out to be very accretive to shareholder value. VS
