Will A-7 be CANCELLED if Deal is Approved?
#1

Botten's US Roadshow Presentation now states that A-7 might be spud as early as September.

That's very strange indeed since the drill site is nearly complete.

What prevents them from spudding A-7 before the OSH-IOC deal is inked?

NOTHING other than the fact that I suspect they intend to cancel A-7 and go directly to "Certification" one nano second after the IOC-OSH and OSH-TOTAL deals are signed.

I will bet my last plug nickel that this has been part of the plan.

On top of that there will be no "Certification" done by TOTAL-OSH either. They will use whatever OSH-IPI certified.

So you think they dangled a7 as another carrot on a stick and then will cancel it ? Quite the allegation Mr Stavros.

My oh my how naive you are.

Putting an end to the A-7 drilling charade is nothing compared to what they've done so far in the Certification process.

Mark this THREAD and my following prediction:

TOTAL is going to keep screwing people for a very long time. If they are successful in eliminating IOC, their next step is to bleed Oil Search and take it over at a very under-valued price.

Stavros's comment falls in line with all the manipulated BS that has occurred.  Why should 't one think Oil Search (and Total) would not be playing games?  They were apparently bed companions with MH, right?

Some folks do not seem to remember stories told to little school boys.

The little boy who cried wolf.

At the end of that story... the boy WAS eaten by the wolf.

There is a new adage in town.... distrust and verify.

Were Total to cancel A7 after having gotten IOC shareholder approval for the OSH/IOC deal (based on reliance of IOC shareholders that A7 results would be added to the CVR payment) they would open themselves up to a very long court battle to overturn any IOC shareholder approval based on what is termed 'detrimental reliance' (ie. reliance on the occurence of a condition which then does not occur and is a detriment to the one who has relied on such an occurence). Unlikely to happen, in my opinion.

I guess that reliance on the occurrence of a condition on Antelope South was unlikely to happen?
