New PM by August

Bidders beware: Winners picked and announced soon thereafter. If you think it's risky for JP/SK to depend on ME for LNG, then it's just as risky to sink 20$ Billion and depend on revenues from plants in the ME.

Results from the 2012 Papua New Guinea election will be known by the end of the month, the country's Electoral Commission says.

Commissioner Andrew Trawen told Radio Australia he expected results to be declared before July 27 so parliament could begin planning to elect a new prime minister by August.

His assurances come amid complaints from candidates that counting has been too slow because of poor planning and the failure by authorities to pay some election officials on time.

Former Prime Minister Sir Michael Somare has accused the Commission of bias after caretaker Prime Minister Peter O'Neill was declared successful.

Sir Michael said the move had given some candidates and political parties an unfair advantage.
