Back when MH was selling out InterOil, the price of Oil was plunging and spot cargoes of LNG were going for incredibly low prices...
So, oil prices have rebounded to about $46/barrel. However, I have not heard much about what has happened to LNG pricing. I know that contracted LNG pricing was being renegotiated by some parties. However, does anyone know where this ended up - and are these prices still tied to the price of oil?
Also, spot pricing, I assume it has gone back up - but, I do not know where that information is published.
So, if we have anyone knowledgable in this area, please enlighten me ! Thanks !!!
PS: Last, but not least, since a number of LNG projects have been shelved, what is the picture looking ahead for the year that LNG is "short" -- ie, demand will exceed supply (even with new projects being completed)....
TIA !!!
