TechInsights' teardown also revealed several chips from wireless chip specialist Skyworks Solutions. Per the report, here were the Skyworks chips found inside the iPhone XS Max:
  • Three SKY5941 GPS low-noise amplifier (LNA) chips.
  • One SKY85403 front-end module (FEM).
  • One SKY13768 FEM.
  • One SKYS775 RF switch.
  • Two power amplifier modules.
According to analyst Vijay Rakesh (via CNBC), Skyworks derives between 35% and 40% of its revenue from sales of chips to Apple. (The analyst consensus calls for Skyworks to generate $3.86 billion in revenue in 2018.) The company clearly has a lot riding on the success of Apple's latest products.
