Problem with that is we have no clue how many or who makes up that short interest. That 10,000,00 is certainly not represented by one person/fund and can't be considered as the "largest shareholder".

Of course not. But when you combine them it's higher than the largest holder providing clarity to the current pps.

tarules gave us the best answer so far.  His sources at fido say 2 big hedge funds comprise the bulk of ioc short interest.  Source knows because source loans stock to them.   Maybe ta can find out more info.  but this matches the trading back and forth between more than one short .  anyway, i give tarule's info credibiity.

I believe they help buy it up to slight high point, then use that bought stock to help sell it back down again.

Stock trades extremely thin, I suspect the shorts are pretty much the only ones trading ioc. short sales on the nasdaq and nyse jumped yest (form 30-40% to 57% , imo that they were shorting that bounce pretty hard. as such

I don't believe there are net 10,000,000 shares short.

How many are hedged with long positions? Circular trading doesn't show up in the reports of short positions which is where that 10,000,000 shares short comes from.

I have never bothered to try to calculate the amount of money involved in the options, but I am sure the shorts are using them to make additional profits as is the MM. It would be nice to have answers to all the above.
