PRE to Own/Operate Columbian FLNG
#1

Shanghai-based Wison Offshore & Marine has signed a memorandum of understanding with engineering and construction contractor Black & Veatch to jointly pursue barge-based natural gas liquefaction facility projects on an exclusive basis.

The agreement marries Wison’s barge design, project management, construction and project financing capabilities with Black & Veatch’s specialty in liquefied natural gas plant design and patented liquefaction technology.

The companies started collaborating in June 2002 with development of a floating LNG liquefaction, storage and regasification facility.

The unit is under construction at Wison’s fabrication facility in Nantong, China and will be deployed to Colombia under a build-own-operate contract with Pacific Rubiales Energy. The vessel will be used on the La Creciente field.

Could explain why Phil is speaking at the FLNG Conference in June.

Wouldn't surprise me if there were a FLNG working on a royaly somewhere in the Gulf.
